Helping Us to Remember

Thank you to Alex, Kieran, Samuel and Savannah, who each brought in items to help make our class discussions about Remembrance Day more meaningful and real.  Alex brought in a paybook that belonged to a relative who served in WWII.  Kieran brought in 2 service medals that belonged to a relative who served in WWI.  Samuel brought in an article that was posted in the Toronto Star in 1945 announcing the death of his Great, Great Uncle during WWII.  Savannah wrote a paragraph and drew a picture about what Remembrance Day means.  Thank you so much to these friends, and others in our class who shared to help bring the reason for Remembrance Day closer to home for us.
