Here are some pics from our last session of swim to survive…maybe this time should have been called “Swim to have a blast”!
…And maybe our favourite part…trying to get vehicles at the overpass (and all the way down North Park St.) to honk for us😋.
Thank you to the instructors and organizers at the Gretzky Centre for running a great program, and thank you also to our wonderful parent volunteers!
Lots of fun diving, jumping and rolling into the water today…! The rolling mimics a fall into the water, and is the first step in completing the Swim to Survive standard. Congratulations to a few students in Group 1, who had some significant accomplishments today with their swimming skills!
Grade 3’s are making and testing predictions about the direction the grass on our grass heads will grow.
Have your child to tell you why trees grow so tall!
Thank you to Mrs. Marshall for providing our healthy snacks for EQAO!
We had a very special day at Planting Seeds of Hope in Middleport!
We made a “Lasagna” Garden, learned about filtration properties of different soils, enjoyed a presentation about First Nations perspectives about the earth, participated in a Smudging ceremony, wittled our own pencils to make mud drawings and enjoyed the beautiful landscape.
